Description
🗡️ Hand-forged D2. One of a kind. Ranch-ready.
The Bull Cutter, Done Right
A rancher's tool with a job to do. A squared, heavy-tipped blade forged from D2 tool steel, hardened to 59-61 RC, and fitted to a handle of rich rosewood and cream camel bone. At 8" overall with a 4" blade, it carries the presence of a real working knife, with a grip where dark grain and pale bone make every piece one of a kind.
🗡️
The Blade
D2 is a legend among tool steels for one reason: it holds a wicked edge and keeps it through hard use. The blunt, squared bull-cutter tip gives you control and safety where a fine point isn't wanted, while the 4" edge stays sharp through rope, hide, and daily ranch cutting. D2 is high-chromium, so it resists rust far better than plain carbon steel with just basic care.
🪵
The Handle
Rosewood lends a deep, warm grain; camel bone sets a band of cream against it. Together they make a grip that's tough, comfortable, and unique to your knife. Grain and tone vary from one to the next. No two Bull Cutters come out alike, and that's exactly the point.

Care Guide, Keeping D2, Rosewood & Bone Right
- ▹Wipe the blade dry after every use. D2 is semi-stainless, not stainless. Moisture left on the steel is the main cause of surface spotting.
- ▹Light oil now and then. A thin coat of mineral or food-safe blade oil after cleaning keeps the steel protected between jobs.
- ▹Clean by hand, never the dishwasher. Heat and detergent are hard on the edge and can dry out the wood and bone.
- ▹Feed the handle occasionally. A rare rub of oil or beeswax keeps rosewood and camel bone from drying and checking over the years.
- ▹Touch up the edge, don't grind it. D2 sharpens best with a fine stone or ceramic rod. A few passes restore the edge without removing much steel.
- ▹Surface spot? Don't panic. Light patina wipes off with a little oil and a non-scratch pad. It's cosmetic, not damage.
- ▹Store dry, out of the sheath long-term. Leather holds moisture. For long storage, keep the knife out of the sheath in a dry spot.
