About Us
Gifting the Outdoors, One Knife at a Time
At Stag & Steel Knives, we believe the best gifts are handmade — especially when they’re forged with fire, bone, and steel.
Each knife in our shop is crafted from start to finish with care and heritage methods. From the layered Damascus blades to the naturally sourced camel bone and bullhorn handles, everything is hand-assembled in small batches — never mass produced.
Our engraved sheaths and custom gift boxes make these knives perfect for Father’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, and groomsmen gifts — or for anyone who appreciates something rare and rugged.
Whether you’re buying for a collector, a hunter, or a loved one with an adventurous soul, our blades are made to last — and to mean something.
Looking for something extra special? We welcome custom requests and engraving options, too.
Our Story
The work began in 2001 in a small workshop with basic tools and one workbench. One maker, Naqash Minhas, started the journey with a simple goal. Learn the craft of knife making and build blades with skill, patience, and hard work.
The early years focused on learning. Steel shaping by hand. Grinding and heat treating with simple equipment. Each knife improved the next one. Every mistake became a lesson.
Over time the craft moved into Damascus steel. Layers of steel forge welded and folded to form strong patterned blades. The work later advanced into copper Damascus, Cu-Mai blades that combine copper and layered steel. A demanding process done through careful forging and hand finishing.
Today the workshop still follows the same approach. Steel forged, ground, and finished largely by hand. Patterns created in the forge. Handles fitted piece by piece. No factory work. No mass production.
The craft also grew through collaboration. Naqash Minhas now works alongside a partner in Canada, Chris M., expanding the reach of the workshop while keeping the same focus on handmade knives, forged steel, and careful craftsmanship built since 2001.
